Katalin Anderson – Lower Elementary

Kate Anderson

I grew up in Hungary and wanted to be a teacher since I was five years old. To fulfill my dream I attended a Teachers Training College in Hungary and received Bachelor degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  After a year of teaching I decided to visit the U.S. and liked it so much that I moved here.  I obtained my teaching license in Colorado first then Montana.  I’m excited to be back for the 13th year at Cottonwood School. I believe that the Montessori method offers high quality academic education and it also enriches a quality of spirit necessary to reach one’s potential in life. I love teaching in the Montessori tradition!
Abby De Boer – Upper Elementary / Music

Abby De Boer

I was born and raised in Bozeman, skiing and hiking from a young age. As a child I learned to dance and play the cello. Having neighborhood kids over to my house for “summer camps” and teaching cello lessons soon flourished into a teaching position at a local Montessori School. Then I attended Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, an Endorsement in Reading Instruction and a Music Minor. I love seeing students’ curiosity sparked in the balance of freedom and responsibility that the Montessori Method offers. I am looking forward to my second year at Cottonwood School teaching Upper Elementary and Music!
